3506 Shaped Jacketby Laura BryantSize S(M, L, XL) Finished Bust 40 (44, 48, 52) Materials: 13 (14, 15, 16) Needles: 4.5 mm (US 7)
The rich colour in the Andee version of this jacket is obtained by using many different hand-dyed colours together. For the best blending, work with 3 different colours at a time – one row of each. Cast on with “A”, drop and attach “B”, drop and attach “C”. Knit across with “C” and “A” is waiting for the next row. Work several inches with the original colours then drop “A” and attach “D” then work B-C-D for a few inches. Continue to drop & add colours as often as you wish. Model includes: Arroyo, Aruba, Embers, Meadow & Desert
Andee: 50% Alpaca, 50% Wool 2 oz/ 114 yds suggested gauge 18 sts = 4" on 4.5 or 5mm needles (US# 7 or 8)
Andee is a lovely, classic plied twist of intimately blended alpaca and wool. The wool provides memory and bounce, and the alpaca lends a beautiful sheen. The knitted fabric combines the best of both worlds: a firm hand that shows colour work and stitch definition well, but has a silky softness from the alpaca. Andee is available in all hand dyed colors.
